Independence, Patriotism, and American Pride
In a lively and patriotic edition of Problematic Women, Morgan McMichael, Elise McHugh, and Virginia Allen kicked off their Fourth of July celebration by reflecting on America's 250th anniversary—the country’s sesquicentennial milestone. Interestingly, the celebration as a federal holiday only became official in 1938, making it a relatively recent tradition in terms of paid national observances.
