One of the promising aspects of this project is the commitment to affordable housing. To address concerns around gentrification and displacement, the city plans to develop 600 affordable units on-site, with an additional 600 units planned elsewhere in the county. These units are designed to serve "workforce housing," accommodating teachers, healthcare workers, retail employees, city workers, emergency responders, and others crucial to a thriving community.
