Part 11/19:

The flying sequences, essential to the story, are executed with unimpressive wire work and unimpressive CGI that kills any sense of weightlessness. Jude Law’s Captain Hook fares better by adding depth to his character—revealing he was Peter’s childhood friend expelled for missing his mother—but even this compelling backstory feels like an afterthought amid a film too focused on social messaging and sterile visuals.
