Moving into top five territory, Crawl is a recent creature feature that flew under many viewers’ radar. Produced by Sam Raimi, this film is essentially a Jaws-esque thriller set during a hurricane, where a young woman is trapped inside her home with lurking alligators. The film trades subtlety for over-the-top thrills, making it a high-octane ride perfect for monster movie fans. Its simplicity and tension-packed atmosphere make it a great, underrated horror outing.
