Guardians Continue Their Winning Streak as Tigers Sink Deeper

The Cleveland Guardians are on a tear, extending their winning streak to six games and improving to 30-22 overall. Their latest victory over the Detroit Tigers, 5-1, secured their series sweep—their first four-game sweep of Detroit since 2019. The Guardians' pitching staff once again shined, with Joey Kanto delivering a commanding 5⅔ innings of shutout baseball, striking out six and surrendering only a single hit. Kanto's changeup, in particular, was described as "disgusting," keeping the Tigers' hitters off balance throughout the game.
