They rely on speed, power, and physical prowess to dominate opponents.

In contrast, internal styles emphasize relaxation, meditative standing, and internal energy (qi) to generate power and achieve martial effectiveness. While external styles are often more visible and direct, internal styles cultivate soft power, fluidity, and mental focus—qualities that can be equally formidable in combat.
