Part 12/13:
Fulan’s life of crime finally caught up with her in 1983, when she surrendered after nearly two years on the run. She spent a decade in prison but was released in 1994. Demonstrating her resilience, she entered politics, becoming a parliament member in 1996 and championing reforms for poor villagers and against child marriage.
Her life was ultimately cut short when she was assassinated in 2001, a victim of political revenge, embodying the tragic cycle of violence and resistance in a deeply stratified society.
