A recent compelling study has demonstrated that vitamin C, when paired with a fasting mimicking diet (FMD), can induce significant cancer cell death in laboratory settings. The study involved treating various isolated human cancer cells with vitamin C, both alone and in conjunction with a diet designed to mimic fasting. The results were astonishing: cancer cells subjected to both treatments experienced nearly complete annihilation — approximately 100% cell death in some cases.
These effects were consistent across multiple types of cancer, including colorectal, lung, and pancreatic cancers. The experiments indicated that the fasting mimicking diet alone could stress cancer cells and promote their death, but the combination with vitamin C amplified this effect dramatically.
