Next, sprinkle in the baking soda and gently fold it into the batter with a silicone spatula. At this stage, it's okay if the batter appears a little chunky.
Step 6: Prepare to Bake
Transfer the batter into a greased or lined loaf tin. Be cautious about overfilling the tin, as it may overflow while baking. If your batter fills the tin only halfway, it should bake for about 45 minutes. Otherwise, adjust the baking time accordingly.
Step 7: Bake and Cool
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake your chocolate banana bread for 40 to 50 minutes. Start checking for doneness at the 40-minute mark; a toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean. After baking, let the bread cool in the tin for about 15 to 20 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
