Part 2/7:
- Location: Set the glasses on a kitchen counter or near a window, allowing them to stay fresh for up to three weeks.
Leafy Greens: Kale and Lettuce
For leafy greens, the method differs greatly:
Remove Packaging: Take greens out of their plastic bags, which limit airflow.
Washing: Wash and thoroughly dry the leaves.
Wrap and Store: Roll the greens in paper towels and place them in the refrigerator, which helps keep them fresh for at least two weeks.
Mushrooms and Other Vegetables
While often grouped with vegetables, mushrooms require unique care:
- Storage: Remove mushrooms from plastic containers and wrap them in a dry kitchen towel before placing them in the fridge. Avoid washing them before storage.
