Cucumbers, Avocados, and Squashes
Storing cucumbers requires a bit of wrapping:
Whole Cucumbers: Wrap in a damp paper towel and store in a plastic bag in the fridge.
Cut Cucumbers: Place in a jar filled with water to maintain freshness.
For avocados:
- Ripe Storage: Unripe ones can stay on a counter, while ripe avocados should be stored in the fridge.
When it comes to squashes:
- Hard Shells: Can be stored on a counter for an extended period (up to six months), while soft squashes need refrigeration.
