While the dough is resting, prepare the filling. In a blender, combine half a cup (3 oz | 70 g) of sunflower seeds, two roasted bell peppers, 1 oz (25 g) of fresh basil, two tablespoons of tomato paste, one clove of garlic, and another two tablespoons of oil. Blend until it forms a cohesive mixture. This filling is packed with flavor and offers a delightful contrast to the sweetness of the dough.
Rolling and Baking the Rolls
After the dough has rested, transfer it to a floured work surface and sprinkle a little extra flour on top. Roll out the dough into a flat surface, then spread the blended filling evenly over it. Starting from one end, roll the dough tightly to create a long log. Cut the log into smaller rolls according to your preferred size.
