Before cooking the pasta, it’s important to prepare the Alfredo sauce. Start by mincing a clove of garlic and melting a generous amount of butter in a pan over medium heat. Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic, stirring it until it becomes aromatic.
Next, pour in half and half to warm it without boiling. As it heats, you're ready to add the star ingredient: freshly grated Parmesan cheese. This is often done to taste; keep adding cheese until the sauce reaches that smooth, creamy consistency synonymous with a great Alfredo.
