Once you have everything ready, you can begin the preparation of the lentil balls.
Cooking the Lentils
Begin by cooking the lentils without salt in water until they are soft. Once cooked, drain the lentils to remove any excess water.
In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked lentils with finely chopped onion, pressed garlic, oat flakes, oregano, tomato paste, soy sauce, and flour or breadcrumbs. Season the mixture with salt and pepper. Using a fork, mix the ingredients well until they are fully combined.
Frying the Lentil Balls
Once your lentil mixture is prepared, it’s time to form your lentil balls. Shape the mixture into small balls or patties, depending on your preference.
