Start by gathering all your ingredients. In a mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped white cabbage, sliced spring onions, and grated carrot. Add the flour and cornflour, along with the salt and baking powder.
Next, mix in the soy sauce and gradually pour in the water or unsweetened plant milk. Stir the mixture until it achieves a thick, pancake-like batter consistency.
Step 2: Frying the Okonomiyaki
Heat a pan over medium heat with a little oil. Once hot, take a portion of the batter and place it in the pan, using a spoon to flatten it slightly. Fry for approximately 3-4 minutes on one side, or until it is golden brown. Carefully flip it over and cook for another 3-4 minutes on the other side.
