With everything in the bowl, mix everything on a low speed until the batter is smooth and homogeneous. Once you achieve the right consistency, add a tablespoon of baking powder and gently stir until fully incorporated.
The batter should look beautiful and ready to go. Transfer the mixture to your prepared cake pan, ensuring it is evenly distributed.
Baking the Cake
Preheat your oven to 180ºC (356ºF) and pop the cake in for about 40 to 45 minutes. Keep in mind, baking times can vary depending on your oven, so I recommend checking on the cake after about 30 minutes. Look for a golden-brown top, and when your home fills with the enticing aroma of freshly baked cake, it’s time for the final test. Insert a toothpick into the center of the cake; if it comes out clean, your cake is ready.
