With your sauce ready, preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Roll out approximately 12 ounces of dough on a floured surface or parchment paper, ensuring that you shape it into a rectangle. Rolling the dough is essential for creating uniform layers of filling. Note that you won’t have to stretch the dough like pizza; instead, simply ensure it has a consistent thickness.
As you roll, make sure to use light pressure. If the dough feels resistant, it may need more time to warm up after coming out of the fridge.
