Remove the membrane using a butter knife and some paper towels for a better grip. While some prefer to leave this on, it’s a common practice in American barbecuing to remove it.
4. Apply the Rub
Mix the ingredients for the rub thoroughly and apply it evenly across the ribs. While it's recommended to let the rub sit overnight for maximum flavor, it's not strictly necessary. If you're short on time, applying it just before cooking will still yield great results.
5. Baking the Ribs
Wrap each rack individually in foil and place them on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring the meat side is facing up. Cook the ribs in the oven at 250°F for about 2 to 2½ hours, depending on their size. Check for doneness by making sure they are tender but not falling apart.
