6. Make the Barbecue Sauce
While the ribs are baking, prepare the homemade barbecue sauce. Combine all the sauce ingredients in a saucepan set over medium heat. Once combined, bring to a boil and then lower the heat to simmer for about 5-10 minutes. The sauce should thicken as it cools.
Broiling for Finish
After the ribs reach your desired tenderness, allow them to cool slightly. Next, turn on your oven's broiler and prepare to glaze the ribs with your homemade barbecue sauce. Broil until you achieve a perfect char on the ribs, taking care to flip them and apply additional sauce as necessary.
