Part 4/7:
- Combine Ingredients - Add the browned meat back into the pot with the sautéed vegetables. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and beef stock, then add the drained kidney beans. Bring the mixture to a boil and then lower to a simmer for about 10-20 minutes.
Prepare the Pasta
While the chili is simmering, bring another pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta, sticking to the package directions but adjusting the time to ensure it is al dente, typically about 2-3 minutes less than the recommended time.
Combine and Bake
- Combine Chili and Pasta - Drain the pasta, reserving about a cup of the cooking water. Mix the pasta into the chili pot. If the mixture appears too thick, add some of the reserved pasta water to loosen it.
