Switching gears, the industry then takes us inside a glittering factory producing Christmas tree ornaments—glass baubles. These ornaments start as glowing, molten glass, heated to a viscous, syrup-like state. Workers carefully inflate the glass within molds through a modernized, yet still traditional, glassblowing process. The glass is heated evenly, inflated, and then quickly cooled using air blasts—analing—to prevent cracks caused by internal stress.
