The confectionery journey reaches its peak with the production of chocolates like Smarties. Cocoa beans are first sorted, then roasted and cracked to remove shells, revealing nibs. These nibs are ground into a smooth paste to produce chocolate liquor, which is further refined and blended.
Melted chocolate is poured into molds to form chocolate beans. As they cool, the chocolate solidifies into perfect rounds or shapes. Additional processes include rolling, shaping, and coating with colorful shells, all automated for consistency.
