Once screened, the peanuts undergo multiple cleaning steps to eliminate contaminants. Vibrating screens and rollers are employed to remove debris such as sticks, leaves, stones, and other solids. Air classification uses jets of air to separate lightweight materials like peanut skins or husks, while magnetic separators safely remove any metal fragments that could have entered during farming or transportation. This rigorous cleaning process results in a batch of clean, whole peanuts ready for roasting.
