@behiver @taskmaster4450, if Elon Musk does manage to monetize Twitter, it will be a good thing for Web3 platforms. Creators will get to see the benefits of monetizing their own content, especially textual content. When they figure out that a centralized platform has the power to demonetize in the same way it has the power to help creators monetize, they'll begin to move over to Web3 platforms where they can enjoy true content freedom.
It will likely be a slow trickle, at first. But we'll see more Web3 adoption.
Another thing, paying $8/month for the opportunity to monetize your content isn't necessarily a bad thing, if they're allowed to keep 100 percent of what they earn. I say that because it's possible that Twitter will want a percentage of earnings. Paying $8/month AND giving up some of your earnings to the platform would be a terrible proposition.
