Good morning to everyone , @lbi-gov yesterday posted about the 2nd voting for weekly dividends .

YES or NO
There are two options for LBI holders -
YES - Continue building the @lbi-token account for another 3 months without paying weekly dividends
NO - Pay us the weekly dividends from now on .
LEO earnings for the past 3 weeks by @lbi-token
First I have taken past 3 weeks holdings report published by @lbi-token into consideration and calculated average LEO earned by @lbi-token .
Holdings report 10 - 1056 LEO earned
Holdings report 11 - 1029 LEO earned
Holdings report 12 - 1080 LEO earned .
Average = 1055 LEO .
Now till now all of these LEO earned was utilized by the team itself to grow the @lbi-token account .
If yes wins, we can review our position in 3 months. The longer the dividend payment is been held off, the stronger the foundation is for the project, as everything is reinvested.
If no wins, we will pay out LBIs first weekly dividend on the 28th of March. That would be 50% of earnings to be split up between token holders, 40% going to reinvestment and 10% going to the @spinvest-leo for @silverstackeruk's services.
How much will you get if weekly dividends are paid from next week ?
I will provide 3-4 examples here -
So taking 1055 LEO as average LEO earnings - 50% of it will be given to holders which is 525 LEO .
Top 10 holders payout looks like this -
User | Quantity | Percent(total=1) | Dividend in LEO |
---|---|---|---|
@themightyvolcano | 47237.0 | 0.21523 | 112.996 |
@taskmaster4450le | 20070.0 | 0.09145 | 48.009 |
@underground | 10001.0 | 0.04557 | 23.923 |
@jk6276 | 10000.0 | 0.04556 | 23.921 |
@onealfa | 10000.0 | 0.04556 | 23.921 |
@myvest | 9374.668 | 0.04271 | 22.425 |
@partitura | 6734.0 | 0.03068 | 16.108 |
@d-company | 5222.039 | 0.02379 | 12.492 |
@forexbrokr | 5001.0 | 0.02279 | 11.963 |
@empoderat | 5000.11 | 0.02278 | 11.961 |
If you hold 10000 LBI - you get 23.921 LEO
If you hold 1000 LBI - you get 2.392 LEO
If you hold 100 LBI - you get 0.239 LEO
If you hold 10 LBI - you get 0.024 LEO
If you hold 1 LBI - you get 0.002 LEO
Growth is stagnant at 1000 LEO ?
Well the past 3 weeks the earnings has been almost same , so has the growth stopped ?
The answer is No .
We have to look at the value of earnings in $ to get a better picture of growth .
Holdings report 10 - 680 $ earned
Holdings report 11 - 640 $ earned
Holdings report 12 - 843 $ earned .
A jump of almost 200 $ when the last 2 weeks are compared .
Half of this will go to the holders .
Now what happens if we vote NO ?
- You will get dividends from 28th march but you the @lbi-token account will grow slowly .
- Till now all the LEO earned was being utilized to invest back into the account so that the account grows more and more to build a strong foundation but if NO is passed then from 28th only 50% of the earnings will be utilized to grow the account which reduces the speeed of account growth by half.
- The pros is that you get LEO payment and you can use it elsewhere or stake it yourself to grow your account more.
What happens if we vote for YES ?
- Pros - The account will keep accumulating LEO and will build even stronger foundation and hence will be able to pay more dividends after 3 months .
- Cons - You will not be able to receive LEO for another 3 months.
Final words
Basically it comes down to this -
What is our target of LEO earnings per week ? Is it 2000 LEO or 2500 LEO ? Because the higher it earns every week , the more dividends you get .
Let's say it is 2500 LEO - Now if we vote for
YES
Then we can reach 2500 LEO faster because @lbi-token would be able to utilize 100% of the earnings .
NO
Then we can reach 2500 LEO in twice the amount of days ( compared to YES ) .
Individual account analysis .
Say you hold 10 LBI
In case of NO
You get 0.024 per week if the average earnings remains same .
So in the next 1 year you get - 0.024 * 52 ( number of weeks ) = 1.248 LEO
In case of YES
Scenario 1 - You get nothing for next 3 months . By that time earnings of LBI might have reached 1500 LEO per week( no guarantee of this though , it might be more or less )
Now for 1500 LEO you will get 0.035 LEO per week .
So in the next 1 year you get - 0.035 * 39 ( total weeks in 9 months ) = 1.365 LEO .
Scenario 2 - You get nothing for next 3 months . By that time earnings of LBI might have reached 2000 LEO per week( no guarantee of this though , it might be more or less )
Now for 2000 LEO you will get 0.046 LEO per week .
So in the next 1 year you get - 0.046 * 39 ( total weeks in 9 months ) = 1.794 LEO .
Note
- Above data is purely speculative in nature but I have tried to use historical data available into calculation .
- I have taken current holdings of LBI to calculate the payout but in reality the @lbi-token will take a snapshot of balance everyday throughout the week to calculate average holding of an account for that week to pay dividends .
- None of this data is provided to you to force you to vote for YES or NO , I always believe in making informed decisions so this data might help you make that .
- None of this is financial advice , DYOR .
Regards,
MR.

I think most of the math adds up. The only thing I am slightly confused about is whether or not you are including the 40% of funds that are powered up every week. So the returns are compounded at a specific rate but the base (what you used) is correct.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I haven't included the compounding effect . I have just taken the average earnings.
Each week the earnings differ so I was reluctant to calculate the compounding effect over that.

This is a great post. I was assuming what you calculated but your math makes my guts feeling more accurate. I hope that YES will be the majority vote. Somehow weird that if we wait now, we will actually get more within the next year.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yeah but it is not surprising right ? The bigger the account gets the larger the payout will be so the more we ( the holders ) will earn .
Yes, that part is not surprising and as I expected. But that we are even within the same year already getting more out of it by holding for three months longer is what took me by surprise. I would have expected a longer time span before this pays off.
To be honest me too . This is why I repeatedly stress on the importance of data analysis over here . We most of the time assume and make decisions rather than working out the math .

Great breakdown of facts!
I was confused when I first read the voting post but you made it a lot clearer now!
I think it would be better to let it grow for a little longer.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Hey that was the intention of the post to be honest because most of us just vote YES or NO without thinking much about it or without knowing full details . I am glad the post made you understand it better :)

This is a really GREAT post. Even I was unsure what my dividends would be for holding just over 300 LBI, but now I know it. And like I said in my voting comment. My dividends would be very low ... so compounding and growing the token is more important to me.
And it sure takes a lot to grow such a big account. The compounding doesn't really kick in hard in the first time. But in a later time LBI will have much more profit from that. Besides that, LBI is just getting started with some off chain investments. I don't feel like this is the right time to start paying dividends.
For most people the dividends will be really low, and the growth will slow down. Not sure if that's the right thing to do now.
My vote was YES ... for delaying the dividends.

Thank you very much @hetty-rowan .
All the points you make are right on point . Although I haven't specifically mentioned in the post , I favor YES too .
It is better to wait and then earn more . One thing which I observed is most of the people who think about long-term have opted for YES according to me ( there might be exceptions ) .
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
It seems that the thing to do is voting YES and buy more LBI !!!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
those were my thoughts exactly :)
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well yeah that would make lots of sense unless you want quick money to invest somewhere else.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That's why I have voted yes. If we postpone dividend, the holdings of lbi will grow faster. As far as I'm concerned we can postpone dividend for another year. The goal is after all long term investing (get rich slowly), not short term gains (get peanuts quickly)

I don't think people will wait for so long though . The next 3 months might be ( or may not be ) the maximum I guess.
Lol well said .
I'm bullish on LBI, and have voted yes. My plan is mid-long-term and getting more in a period is worth the waiting. The value of the token has appreciated by 9% in 3 months.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
And the growth increases at a faster rate when the account is bigger . They are both proportional to each other .
I feel it's worth to wait too but let's see what the community will decide :)
It is a community vote, and we need to take that opinion in account, that is for sure!

Yeah right now it seems like NO is dominating but I haven't calculated the vote weight (LBI holdings ) of it so let's see how it goes after a week .

Thanks for putting this together! It is pretty awesome. I know a lot of people were asking for this from the Gov team, but our function is simply to put out the proposals and collect and tally the votes. For us to be putting out potential earnings info would definitely be a conflict. Awesome job with all of your stats!

I totally understand , I tried my best to remain unbiased while making this post but if I read it again it feels like I am favoring YES over NO lol . So it will be 100x difficult for you to post stats without conflicting your position .
Glad I could contribute to this :)

Yes, that is very much what I was afraid of. The numbers speak for themselves really.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Feel free to DM me on discord to ask for data if you need any , I will get them .
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Okay, will do! Thanks!
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Man, you are a true gem! I was wondering how much Leo would I get for my 100 lbi tokens. Thanks for answering that question :)
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Hey thanks buddy :)
If you ever have any questions like that , feel free to yell at me to get the data for you lol .

Nice write again. Any time there's data involved you are all over it. I haven't voted yet but am leaning towards letting the dividends ride for another 3 months. I think definitely helps the overall cause immensely and when you factor in what could be a substantial airdrop in PB, I think it just makes sense to make that base as big as possible before flattening the growth out. Most people know that doubling your investment the first time is the hardest part. After that, the compounding really starts to kick in and you can add another 100% and another 100% fairly quickly after that. If I was one of the big guys in here, I might want my dividend now. And that's understandable. But unless you are one of those people, it seems better in the long run to let it ride.

Thank you very much @dagger212 :) Appreciate it buddy.
Personally, me too .
This is 100% true and sums up everything the post is trying to tell .
I still don't wanna force people to choose YES , it is their wish but right now it makes more sense to wait and let the @lbi-token account build is what I feel.

The smart thing to do would be to vote YES. Investors should see this as a long term thing. Besides, if the payments will be in LEO, in a few years time each LEO could be worth much more than what it is worth right now. The path Leofinance is taking is very good and I think the value of LEO will go up quite a bit.

I think this proposal was already reject hehe so yeah it is still growing .

4% huh ? Well thank you for sharing but I will stick with 80% APR with UTOPIS :)
Also I have absolutely 0 idea why you brought this up lol.
