A lot of dead bodies have been dumped to our "national" river - Ganga .

It is a sad sad scene .

Not only this , we are seeing increasing suicides and suicide attempts by COVID affected people here in India , can you guess why ? Because they are afraid of the stigma .

Is there really that much of a stigma when there is hundreds of thousands people getting it a day? I don't think it would really affect you too much and once you recover, you can a good part of society (antibodies).

Also there needs to be a focus on mental health to help people through this.

Yes there is . It is sad . During the first wave only we saw multiple suicides but now they are increasing .

Also there needs to be a focus on mental health to help people through this.

This is something which is not given much focus to here in India . It needs to change .

Agree but I wish there was more awareness created on this front . Getting COVID isn't our fault ( fully ) .

Nobody gives a shit to mental health in India. Mental health issues are quite prevalent in all sections of the country. Yet there are no adequate measures taken in that regards. It's a taboo.

Totally , during the 2 months after Sushanth death everyone started posting about mental health but now ? Nobody cares .

It's a taboo.

100% .

I am very sad to hear about that. It is a very sad state of affairs. Does the caste system come into play?

No , in this particular context , it doesn't . Fortunately.
