LOL that would be a mess. Blank will be much better because it is designed for that. It is actually being set up as a front end also for twitter.
The goal is to eventually overtake twitter. That is why, the day it is released, we have to go nuts with it. Get the name out (and link) out there as much as possible. Every social media site needs to be hit up.
I was thinking about putting together a simple email/commenting campaign that we all can engage in.
What are your thoughts on that?

We can definitely do this . We can create a dedicated post for that ( maybe you should do it because of greater visibility ) and ask people to post twitter links , fb links , reddit links in the comments to that post in which they are promoting the #projectblank. We shall provide the hashtag for them to use .
We can reward them with not only upvotes but maybe 25 LEO or LBI prize too ( not to all , maybe like a lottery in which we shall pick 4 winners or 5 winners ) .
The more social media they share on , the higher their chances to win the prize .
We can form 3-4 members and check the links and leave a simple message like "approved" so that I can run the script to get the approved authors links etc.

This is a great idea, I have no social media followers outside of Hive but I definitely can help in other ways.
I would be more than happy to add some Leo to the prize pool. We could get it up way more with a little push.

I don't have much followers too to be honest . I never used twitter or FB until recently and now too I use it to promote Hive and Leo that's it.
Me too :) Without incentivizing the promotion I don't think many people will come forward to promote.

That is okay. The more you do, the better it is. On twitter, even without followers, if you put the blank name out there a dozen times throughout the day, that will help in the visibility since twitter is based upon activity rankings.
It all helps.
Plus with retweets, @nathanmars might send it out to all his followers.

LOL even more expansive than I envisioned.
Fortunately, it looks like we have a few weeks do this. I think emailing those who are at risk of being displaced by social media is a great starting point. By emailing, I mean go to their blogs and leave a comment. Most times newer commenters have to be approved. That is where a mod or the author will see the link.
But you bring up a good idea. We can gamify the promotion of blank. This is something that we can push hard.

Ah this is what I couldn't grasp as soon as I read email campaign , I was like it would be difficult to find the personal email addresses of everyone we are aiming for .
Go to their blogs and comment is something we can do .

Yeah unless you are approved to comment, in most instances, the comment will queue up as an email.
We can all set up email accounts to use since they tend to ask for that. Most instances the comment will not be up there but that doesnt matter. We want the authors and admin to take notice and join the app.
A few might write a post on their blog later about it.
