True, engagement often scales with volume. However, quality content can amplify interaction beyond simple numbers, fostering deeper connections and more meaningful discussions. Quality + quantity = optimal engagement.

Twitter never excelled, for much of its history, at quality content. Instead, it was a bunch of nonsense 90% of the time.

That is proof the idea of quality isnt really the basis. People respond to the dumbest things.

Political discussions might be relevant but the most commented thing on X is when someone posts some else doing something completely stupid.

It's sad but I would 100% agree to this.

It isnt a platform.

YouTube became huge for cat videos. Quality content is not required for success online.
