The recent Bernstein research highlights that Solana is emerging as a key player in the blockchain payments sector, thanks to its user-friendliness and lower transaction costs compared to Ethereum. However, the shortage of stablecoins on the network still poses a limitation. Nonetheless, ambitious projects such as collaborations with Visa and Shopify indicate significant potential for Solana in the retail or B2B payment realm. Scalability remains the main obstacle, but the adoption of stablecoins continues to grow, with USDT and USDC dominating the sector. π
