Tesla CEO Elon Musk returned to the cryptoactive market on Monday 13. And it all started when he published a photo of his new dog and made the price of a cryptocurrency jump 3,000% in a few hours.
It sounds like a joke, but that's what actually happened: when Musk posted a photo of his new pet, a Shiba Inu dog on Twitter - the same dog that gave rise to the Doge meme and the dogecoin cryptocurrency, Musk said the The pet's name was “Floki” - the same as another cryptocurrency-meme, the Floki Inu, whose price jumped almost 30 times after the billionaire's publication.
Although it is not possible to say that the cryptocurrency movement is linked only to the billionaire's publication, this is not the first time that Elon Musk is related to strong upward movements in the cryptoactives market, especially when it comes to cryptocurrencies-meme inspired by the image of the Shiba Inu breed.
During much of 2020 and also 2021, Tesla's CEO mentioned dogecoin dozens of times on his Twitter, through posts and references to the cryptocurrency in his profile photos, which generated a series of spikes in the price of the cryptoactive. Also, in May of this year, the billionaire announced DOGE-1, the first space mission paid in full with a cryptocurrency, the dogecoin.

O CEO da Tesla, Elon Musk voltou a movimentar o mercado de criptoativos nesta segunda-feira, 13. E tudo começou quando ele publicou a foto do seu novo cachorro e fez o preço de uma criptomoeda saltar 3.000% em poucas horas.
Parece piada, mas é o que de fato aconteceu: quando publicou, no Twitter, uma foto do seu novo animal de estimação, um cachorro da raça Shiba Inu - o mesmo que deu origem ao meme Doge e à criptomoeda dogecoin, Musk afirmou que o nome do pet era “Floki” - o mesmo de uma outra criptomoeda-meme, a Floki Inu, cujo preço saltou quase 30 vezes após a publicação do bilionário.
Por mais que não seja possível dizer que o movimento da criptomoeda está ligado apenas à publicação do bilionário, esta não é a primeira vez que Elon Musk é relacionado a fortes movimentos de alta no mercado de criptoativos, principalmente quando o assunto são as criptomoedas-meme inspiradas na imagem da raça Shiba Inu.
Durante boa parte de 2020 e também de 2021, o CEO da Tesla mencionou a dogecoin dezenas de vezes em seu Twitter, por meio de publicações e referências à criptomoeda em fotos de seu perfil, que geraram uma série de disparadas no preço do criptoativo. Além disso, em maio deste ano, o bilionário anunciou a DOGE-1, a primeira missão espacial paga integralmente com uma criptomoeda, a dogecoin.
