Soy venezolana, estudiante y emprendedora (frustrada) desde el 2017 la palabra "hiperinflación" empezó a retumbar mis oídos y en los oídos de muchos venezolanos, aunque ya el panorama de años anteriores lo anunciaba a gran voz fue hasta ese año que se empezó a sentir y nos respiraba en la nuca. Para ese entonces yo estaba a mitad de mi carrera universitaria y mis ánimos se quemaron, para ese entonces trabajaba con ventas y todo se vino abajo, las ventas llegaron a cero y me toco aceptar que ya esa no era la forma de generar ingresos para mi, después de intentar en otras áreas pase de ser independiente económicamente de mi familia a ser nuevamente sostenida por ellos.

• ¿Cuál es la parte más difícil de vivir en hiperinflación?

Como joven, la parte más difícil ha sido ser nuevamente dependiente de mi familia económicamente, además de lidiar con los sentimientos de frustración por las limitantes en las distintas áreas, pensar en la posibilidad de adquirir bienes como casa propia, carro, inclusive iniciar un negocio propio sin morir en el intento son causa de estrés por lo inalcanzable que se han vuelto. Un asunto claro que me empuja constantemente a postergar el inicio de una familia normalmente conformada por la sociedad.

Y en realidad ya no sé que es lo que esta en la cúpula de "lo difícil" porque como estudiante también experimento la sensación de desanimo cuando veo todo el esfuerzo y tiempo invertido en mi carrera para que al graduarme mi situación económica siga igual ya que; los sueldos no varían en gran manera.

Ahora bien, si hablamos de los más micro, es difícil vivir sin poder comprar algo que "debería" ser de fácil acceso como ropa, zapatos, carteras y por supuesto maquillaje. Y ni les hablo de la comida porque ahí ya lloraremos juntos.

• ¿Qué ha aprendido de esta situación?

Esta es la parte emocionante, porque a pesar de todo lo que les acabo de mencionar, he aprendido a tener paciencia y canalizar mi energía para no dejar de avanzar así los pasos sean a mínimas escalas. La hiperinflación me ha llevado a ser buena administradora de lo que llega a mis manos, puedo decir que sé diferenciar entre una prioridad, una necesidad y un capricho. En lo económico he aprendido también a desarrollar habilidades como comerciante aprovechando las oportunidades.

He aprendido a intentarlo una, dos, tres, cuatro y hasta he llegado a perder la cuenta, pero la regla es no rendirse hasta que de algún resultado.

Y por supuesto, desde el año pasado, decidí aprovechar cada día a pesar de todo este panorama sombrío, y hoy por hoy puedo decir que lo que antes me generaba estrés ya inhalo y exhalo y no me afecta (en su mayoría).

• ¿Cuál fue el detonante de la hiperinflación en su país?

Considero que la falta de producción nacional fue el principal detonante, desde el sector agrícola hasta el sector industrial, un país que tiene que importa deja de crecer; además que hubo un decrecimiento en las exportaciones de los minerales, petróleo y otros rubros agrícolas. También, la falta de inversionistas extranjeros perjudicó la situación económica de nuestro país.

Ahora bien, pienso que si hubiese una buena administración muchas cosas se habrían evitado, así que opino que de ahí parte todo, de la mala gestión que han llevado a cabo durante años los dirigentes del país.

• ¿Qué consejo le daría a un extranjero que está por empezar a vivir en hiperinflación en su país?

Le diría que aprenda a tener calma, por más que se estrese; nada va a cambiar la situación y solo vale estar calmado y, en lo económico aprender a moverse de forma inteligente, si va a invertir que sea en inmuebles que no pierdan valor o asesorarse en el mundo de las criptomonedas, si tiene negocio local adaptar su negocio a la situación que le rodea lo más rápido posible y saber que en este juego de hiperinflación siempre va a ver pérdida de dinero, y lo mejor será prepararse para evitar que sea una pérdida masiva.

• ¿Cómo HIVE y Leofinance ayudan a las personas que viven en hiperinflación?

También vivo en un país donde el sueldo básico promedio es de <5 dólares (a gran escala), y la cesta básica sobre pasa los 100 dólares.

By that time I was in the middle of my university career and my spirits were burned, by that time I was working with sales and everything fell apart, sales reached zero and I had to accept that this was no longer the way to generate income for me, after trying in other areas I went from being economically independent of my family to being supported by them again.

- What is the most difficult part of living in hyperinflation?

As a young person, the most difficult part has been to be again economically dependent on my family, besides dealing with the feelings of frustration due to the limitations in different areas, thinking about the possibility of acquiring goods such as my own house, car, even starting my own business without dying in the attempt are a cause of stress because of how unattainable they have become. A clear issue that constantly pushes me to postpone the start of a family normally formed by society.

And I don't really know what is at the top of "the difficult" because as a student I also experience the feeling of discouragement when I see all the effort and time invested in my career so that when I graduate my economic situation remains the same since the salaries do not vary greatly.

Now, if we talk about the more micro, it is difficult to live without being able to buy something that "should" be easily accessible such as clothes, shoes, handbags and of course makeup. And I'm not even talking about food because we will cry together.

- What have you learned from this situation?

This is the exciting part, because in spite of everything I have just mentioned, I have learned to be patient and to channel my energy in order not to stop moving forward, even if the steps are minimal. Hyperinflation has led me to be a good administrator of what comes into my hands, I can say that I know how to differentiate between a priority, a need and a whim. Economically, I have also learned to develop skills as a trader by taking advantage of opportunities.

I have learned to try once, twice, three times, four times and I have even lost count, but the rule is not to give up until it pays off.

And of course, since last year, I decided to take advantage of every day in spite of all this gloomy outlook, and today I can say that what used to generate stress for me now I inhale and exhale and it doesn't affect me (mostly).

What was the trigger for hyperinflation in your country?

I consider that the lack of national production was the main trigger, from the agricultural sector to the industrial sector, a country that has to import stops growing; besides, there was a decrease in exports of minerals, oil and other agricultural products. Also, the lack of foreign investors harmed the economic situation of our country.

Now, I think that if there had been a good administration many things would have been avoided, so I think that is where it all comes from, the bad management that has been carried out for years by the country's leaders.

What advice would you give to a foreigner who is about to start living in hyperinflation in your country?

I would tell them to learn to be calm, no matter how much they stress; nothing is going to change the situation and it is only worth being calm and, economically, learn to move intelligently, if they are going to invest in real estate that does not lose value or get advice in the world of cryptocurrencies, if they have a local business adapt their business to the situation around them as quickly as possible and know that in this game of hyperinflation they will always lose money, and it is best to prepare themselves to avoid a massive loss.
