Navigating the World of Banking Rules and Customer Service

As a former bank employee, I am well-versed in banking regulations and many other aspects of the banking industry. Banks are among the top organizations earning the most throughout the country, which is why bank shares are always rising in value. I worked for three different banks in Pakistan: MCB, MEEZAN, and ASKARI.

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF CLIENTS IN THE BANKING SECTOR

When I was employed as cash officer at MCB, I took a banking industry training course. I attended a 16-day training course in the city of Karachi, where we learned about various banking systems. The most important thing we were taught about banks is to always be kind to clients since they are the ones who run them.

We always had one phrase that we taught every day, and that was "CUSTOMERS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT." I was perplexed by this slogan and asked a question to clarify my uncertainty. I was thinking about how customers are always right if they want fresh notes and we don't have any, if they want banking beyond business hours, and so on.

Our trainer informed us that customers are the ones who run the bank, and we are the ones who get paid because of them. It was confusing to me how a customer is always correct when we provide them with bank services. In any case, when it comes to real banking, I've learned that the customers are really right.

I did work extra banking hours after the bank closed because they were premium customers with no regard for business hours. This made me very upset, and I resolved to leave the bank job as soon as possible because it is a form of slavery. Banks are only good for their clients, but their employees are hurting.

There is no doubt that banks are run by the money of their customers, which they deposit, and the banks use their money for various business activities. They profit from their customers' investments and compensate them while also profiting the banks. Staff are similarly compensated with money profits produced from various company projects that are the result of customers deposited monehy.

We were taught three important facts regarding customers, which are

  1. Make eye contact with them and greet them with your eyes when they enter the bank. When they approach you, stand for them and greet them in such a way that they are pleased with your service.
  2. After communicating with them, try to persuade them about the business products and services that banks offer.
  3. The third and most significant thing is to take him or her to the manager's office so that further managers can brief them on the products.

Banking products are always beneficial for customers if they are clearly stated. All we have to do is benefit customers and always offer them an attractive APR so that their money does not leave banks. Banks have many types of consumers, such as Premium, Classic, and Walk-in consumers.

Because of their large deposit amounts, premium customers are valued highly. Customers with deposits in excess of $2 million are considered premium customers and are dealt with directly by the Manager. Similarly, classic customers are in the second group and must keep a deposit of $1 million in order to use bank services. They are approached immediately by the operations manager.

Walk-in clients are the finest customers for cashiers since they can guide and persuade them about various banking products. If you treat walk-in consumers well, they will undoubtedly be converted to premium customers, which is entirely to the benefit of banks.
