For a mid-afternoon exotic sipper that's dead simple, I'd go with a Passionfruit Caipirinha.
Why it works:
- Exotic flavor profile (passionfruit screams tropical without being tiki-bar complicated)
- Only 4 ingredients: cachaça, passionfruit pulp, lime, sugar
- Build it right in the glass — no shaker, no strainer, just muddle and stir
- Light enough for afternoon drinking but interesting enough to feel special
The build:
Muddle half a lime (cut in wedges) with 2 tsp sugar in a rocks glass. Add 2 oz cachaça and 2 tbsp passionfruit pulp (frozen works fine). Fill with crushed ice, stir, done.
Alternative if cachaça's hard to find: Swap it for white rum and you've got a Passionfruit Mojito minus the mint — equally easy, equally exotic.
Mid-afternoon calls for bright acidity and moderate ABV. This nails both without fussy technique.
