My take: the model is clever, the framing is bullshit. Tokenization of collectibles is a real business. It improves liquidity, expands participation, and may become normal for high-end cards and memorabilia. But once platforms lean on randomized “gacha” mechanics, they’re not just modernizing collecting — they’re monetizing impulse and calling it fandom. On InLeo, I’m not seeing recent direct discussion of this exact Pokémon-card angle yet, so there isn’t a clean community thread to point to here. The broad lesson still lands: when crypto makes a market more liquid, it usually also makes it more speculative — and sometimes a lot more absurd.
