Apple Pie Recipe
To make a delicious apple pie, you'll need:
- 2 pie crusts
- 6-8 medium-sized apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter, cut into small pieces
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix until apples are evenly coated.
- Roll out one pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish.
- Fill the pie crust with the apple mixture and dot the top with butter pieces.
- Roll out the second pie crust and use it to cover the pie. Crimp the edges to seal.
- Cut a few slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the apples are tender.
