Good day #InLeo folks, Hiveians and Countrymen.
i've finally got set up so i'm comfortable using my laptop where i am at the moment.
i've not been using threads much in recent months due to (for me) it not being useable on mobile. This is mostly to
a) the #gobbledygook bug
b) frequent inability to login either with hivesigner or with posting key with LeoAuth
c)drafts not saving.
Anyway, i'm now testing desktop interface. Let's see how it goes.
i'll do my best to keep this bug report from getting negative like i have been sometimes when reporting using mobile threads before.
InLeo Bug Report
Bug 1. GobbledyGook bug. Whenever i use mobile app (and previously if i remember correctly on desktop too - but at mo. it seems to be behaving itself :-), whenever it type i get additional characters/words added. i gave up trying to correct it a while back so you may well have seen my sometimes comedic but often stressful to me gobbledygook threads. Here's an example:
Now it's obvious to me at least partly how this is happening; words or characters are being picked up from the prompts we see to encourage us to make a thread (eg. Every time you Thread a Puppy gets adopted).
i have pointed this out several times by using #feedback tag & asked if, at least temporarily these text prompts are removed, at least to see if the gobbledygook bug goes away.
Bug 2. Drafts. On mobile Drafts just do not work, whether i'm making a long-form post or a thread, even though the Auto-Save Draft toggle is on. If i go to the View Drafts option (which is NOT greyed and does NOT say - coming soon like the View Scheduled Post does), there are no drafts saved.
So now, i'm now gonna select all the text above & copy & save it elsewhere so i can see if Drafts are saving when using desktop.
So what i actually did was open another InLeo tab to check the drafts there.
#FeatureRequest 1. - i notice that in the left bar menu, nor on my profile page is there an option to view draft. It is necessary to click the Publish button in left menu to begin a new post, and from there to view draft.
#FeatureRequest 2. - Confusingly the Publish Button in left menu bar says the same as Publish Button in Post preview pane in Publish window. i request changing the button in left menu to something like New Post, or New Publication.
Anyway, the draft was successfully saved (without me need to click Save Draft button in Preview pane). Thanks LeoTeam, - it was not like this when i last tested. Now bring it to mobile PLEASE
#FeatureRequest 3 (or maybe it's a bug). The Save Draft button in preview pane shows no indication as to whether a draft has been saved or not. i would expect it to be dimmed once the auto-save has saved & it to be not dimmed as i am typing until auto save kicks in. Actually when i was checking in another tab to see if auto-save draft worked, i checked a couple of times, adding a word in one tab, switching back to other tab to check again, and the draft had been updated, so it appears to be almost instant. Very Good. Now bring it to mobile PLEASE :-)
So my conclusion (re. Drafts) now is that i can safely prepare a long form post using InLeo desktop.
Bug 3. Notifications. There's more than one point here, and i'm told Leonode will fix this, let's see.
a) You can see the difference in numbers in the left menu pane and beside the Unread heading.
b) Clicking the Mark as Read button appears to do nothing. The button itself stays the same & both the indicators stay the same.
A couple of minutes later (after screenshotting and typing a) and b) above) i switched to the other tab i had open & both had disappeared. But now, another minute later in this current tab, the notifications indicator in left menu pane says 2 (no longer 3, but not zero). Now i've refreshed this tab and opened this draft (phew, it's still there - autosaved up to the minute) and the 2. has gone. So, maybe Leonode(s) will do the trick.
Bug 4. Losing place in feed. In threads feed (and maybe in Posts feed too - not checked), after clicking on a thread to see in full / reply, when clicking the arrow to return to feed, i am taken to the top of the feed instead of the position i was in before clicking.

So to insert a link (using some nice neat text other than the link itsel) it's necessary to look up (or remember) the html code for that. i'll do that now so i can add some neat links below.

Well, that's fairly easy to remember, but still, a button would have saved me a minute or two.
Ok, i'll leave it at that today. Happy that InLeo desktop is quite useable despite some bug fixing & feature improvement required.
Here's hoping i'll receive feedback from #LeoTeam, and as a minimum for the Bug 1. GobbledyGook bug to be fixed within 2 weeks (after all it's been present for about 6 months).
Is that too much to ask?
i may well buy a Premium subscription if that happens!
Other News
In other news today (well, not news exactly), for those of you who don't know yet, @terablock-hive are continuing to build a Hive CrossDex which so far enables quite a few tokens from Binance Smart Chain & Ethereum to be One-Click swapped to Hive. They have completed the first stage of the proposal made a while back, which based on Hive community suggestions was revised to the back pay model. As stage 1 is now complete, a proposal to cover the costs of that has been made & is now live.
Once this Stage 1 proposal has been funded it will be made Open Source and terrablock-hive will invite you to nominate Hive-Engine tokens (such as $Leo, $Bro, #ALIVE and others) so Hive Engine tokens can easily be easily bought using with coins & tokens from other chains. **Read that Again, i think it's very important for Hive & Leo ecosystems. Agree that there are some bugs in Inleo but the team is trying to fix and they also pay attention to threads with #feedback tag. I have also seen that you posted threads with this tag. Thaks for sharing the feedback and it will help inleo getting better.

Yeah, for approx 6 months i've been reporting the #gobbledygook bug with feedback tag, and even swapped some messages with Khal & Eric about it, but it's still here (on mobile)
