🧵 1. #threadstorm
It appears criteria for threads to be Trending is all time no. of comments. So in say 1 yr if no other thread has had say 100 comments there will be 4 stagnant 1 yr old threads still top of trending.

I just thought they are still doing a fix for it. But I agree, it doesn't look good to have old threads to stay trending. Perhaps they need to change every 24 hours 😉

🧵 2. i propose criteria amended so trending threads over an age (to be voted on by community) will no longer appear under trending tab.

See 3. 👇 for poll. Be patient, not made a poll before, might take few minutes

🧵 3. How long is maximum period a thread should remain Trending? (See parts 1, 2 & 4 of this threadstorm for explanation)

(Polls not working reply below)

1 day
2 days
3 days
1 week
Other - comment below.

i vote for 1 day (24 hrs)
as does

🧵 4.
Another criteria to consider is if engagements are continuing for more than the selected period, does the post stay in trending? Maybe once replies stop for the chosen period, then they are dropped from trending.

What? I'm confused!

Look at leaderboard tab. You will see all threads are a month old as no other thread since has surpassed the no. Of replies

And, watch next weeks episode of SOAP

I guess so too

Maybe something will be done about it

#threads247
