Today morning after waking up it was quite sadening to see the price of Hive. When we were all expecting the price of Hive to go up after the new all time High of BTC, the price of Hive is moving more towards the all time low value. I don't know what happened last night but it was a sad news for people who have heavily invested on Hive. I was talking to a friend who had almost all his investments inside Hive.
This is not the moment to panic anyways because this is not the first time the price of Hive is going as low as 14 cents. For a few months the price even reached 8 or 9 cents I believe. If I had been awake at that time, I would have bought enough Hive and held it. People who are successful in the market are the ones buying low and selling high. For people who are staying invested, it is not good because by staying invested, they see the price go up and down multiple times but they don't make use of that opportunity.
Again a buying opportunity
Even if the price goes below the expected value, many people do some panic selling but I still see this as an opportunity to invest. I have seen the same price even before and we should think in the sense that Hive is giving us another opportunity to invest. Not everyone get this opportunity. If we are here for long term and thinking about investing now and get a profit in the future, then now is the right time to invest.
I understand that there are no concrete projects on Hive that are gaining momentum right now. I know for a fact that there will be projects in the future that are very healthy and good for Hive. The trend keeps changing and innovation keeps happening. If we don't have patience, we may not be able to take any fruit. I'm not sure if the price of Hive would reach 1 dollar again but I know for a fact that price of Hive will definitely reach 50 cents are way above that from here. I have seen 3 different cycles similar to this where the price had been very low and then recovered and reached back to 1 dollars.
Need more big size projects
I would say that splinterlands is a decent sized project on Hive and it is bringing many investors to Hive and is able to sustain many users on Hive. We need projects that are similar to Splinterlands and are big size projects. If we have a few more big size projects, we don't have to worry more about Hive price having a crash. Creating more opportunities on Hive is better because there are competitive blockchains available that can do a lot better. Investors might move to those projects if they are not happy with Hive or if they don't see any opportunities inside Hive.

You’re right that HIVE needs bigger projects to drive real demand - but there’s a catch: we can’t just wait for projects to appear. They need builders, and builders need incentive.
Splinterlands proved it’s possible, but it also showed the risk - when one big project dominates, the whole ecosystem becomes dependent on it. Diversification matters more than size.
The 8-9 cents you mentioned from previous cycles is the floor we keep testing. Each time we bounce from it, fewer people have capital left to buy. That’s the real problem - not lack of opportunity, but lack of dry powder.
About those 3 cycles back to $1 - I’ve been here for some of them too. The difference now is market structure has changed. Retail isn’t coming back the way it did before. If HIVE hits $1 again, it’ll be because of institutional adoption or ecosystem utility, not hype.

There's two sides to that. Sure we could use new projects but those projects need to not only be self sustainable but profitable otherwise they just suck even more out of hive.

What Hive really needs is more people who don't care about the token price.
