As now is the time for exams everywhere, I was wondering if pen and paper would go away completely in the future because of digitalization. In the last few decades we have seen many advancements happening and the way the changes are happening is also changing the way people complete their education and do their learning. I have heard from my teachers and parents that during their very young age, they have used only pencils until higher education. This have changed a lot now because people are using Pens at a very young age.
Just imagine a situation where writing with Pen and paper is completely gone. There are schools in many countries that makes use of electronic devices to take notes by the students. Though it is seen in some of the specialized universities where the students are allowed to take nodes on their electronic devices directly, I'm sure compared to the previous generation the new generation is not writing much. Today we have facility to to take up exams online. In the very near future this can become a very common thing where people will start taking exams on their electronic devices.

In some places people use their electronic pen to write on electronic devices like iPad but it is not very far away to see people writing without proper pen and paper. The learning can happen completely digital and the new skill might have to be acquired to write using electronic devices. This can even become a revolution where people think that by taking this route, they are able to get rid of pen and paper completely which saves a lot of trees.
I don't know if this is a good revolution or not but something makes me feel that we have no control over this. Today in many art college people are going to their classes with digital drawing materials than physical drawing materials. If it is a digital thing they have the freedom to makes mistakes andd learn. If physical drawing materials are used, people don't have an undo option and they have to be very careful at the very first instance itself. It may not be in the near future but maybe after 50 years many schools might have already switched to digital learning and writing with pen and paper may not be relavant at all.

Sooner or later pen and paper will disappear, knowledge in the end is what school requires, doesn't matter the tool
In my opinion, the future of education may blend both worlds, preserving the art of writing while embracing innovation.

With the way we are going, I am so sure it will come to a point we will not make use of pen and paper again actually
The future of education is changing so fast. Maybe one day we won’t need pen and paper at all. Digital learning makes things easier and faster, but I hope we still keep some traditional ways too.
