Live and learn!
I must admit that until yesterday, I thought I knew almost everything about the thorny bush called rosehip and its fruits, but yesterday changed that.
Dried rosehips are a frequent guest in my house; we all enjoy the delicious drink made by steeping them in a thermos, but that was the extent of my use for them; I couldn't even imagine how else to use them.
But yesterday, I came across a recipe for rosehip jam, which was strange since unripe rosehips have little sugar content and are quite tasteless. But someone makes jam, and perhaps it's delicious.
I haven't had a chance to test this recipe yet, but it's probably worth a try.
