Gladiator NFTs should be tradeable in Splinterlands

Gladiator NFTs are having a specific purpose in the Splinterlands and they can strengthen any Guild and shine within the Brawl Wars. Participating in such fights will get MERITS from the fields of battle and you can use those to purchase different Guild merchandise. You can buy Gladius Case which contains 5 Gladiator cards, Spy Glass to sneak a peek at enemy Fray assignments, Blood Stones to improve the drop rate of Gladiator Legendary cards, or Power Stones to improve the drop rate of Gladiator Gold Foil cards. At the core of it all, there are the Gladiators which are Gods given Fighters with superpowers.

Gladiators are great and these fierce full fighters can make a difference in the Brawl wars. But one secret about them is that they are Soul Bound and cannot be separated from their masters. They cannot be traded, sold, rented, or delegated which I think is leaving them in the shadow. Hard to level up it can take ages to max them out even if during regular battles you get Merits now, but what good to those as you cannot transfer them either...?

Gladiators need to shine for the spectacle they offer in battles and I think their skills and use should not be restricted, but be above all the common fighters and more. Hopefully, they will get the recognition that they deserve and the restrictions will be uplifted in order to be able to transfer them and level up at least. That's how I view these magnificent fighters at least...

Here are some ideas that could improve the game dynamics in the Brawl Wars:

  • Make Gladiator cards transferable
  • Make Merits transferable
  • Allow multiple Gladiator cards with a fight and not only one

I wouldn't agree with you on this one.

I like that they have to be earned slowly over time.

Otherwise you will have the same few players that buy up a full deck and dominate the brawls even more.

This way we are all slowly building up our gladiator deck and it will take a lot of brawls to get there.

I think that it's a good system.

You might be right, but at least to transfer cards. If you play with multiple accounts (and most of us do), it doesn't make sense to separate Gladiators cards/packs on all of them. You want to aggregate and level them up on a single account first and than consider others. At least that's how I see it to get some really helpful and powerful Gladiators before reaching pension years.

There is a way to cash out on gladiators as you can burn them for Dec

Yeah, but I stopped destroying cards for DEC a long time ago. Who knows, it the DEC price improves maybe that option at least will make some sort of sense.

It looks like Dec will return to its peg now that rewards are paid in staked sps, rather than dec

i think having merits be transferable will increase bot abuse for merits.

however, i do agree gladiator cards should be able to be transferable, but only delegated. that way, guild members can HELP other guild members, but the cards cant be abused by bots.

because if gladiator cards can be sent, they can be stockpiled and upgraded by the owner of bot farms.

so i do hope they make Gladiator cards able to be delegated, but thats the extent of the upgrade, i think that should happen :)
