Sooner or later a 1 million-use application is quite possible to challenge the Hive blockchain infrastructure. I don't say that it is not supported now, but rather than when such an app will kick in I think that improvements will start coming out based on those needs. Otherwise, it might be hard to predict without making some stress and performance tests in this regard.

True true, there are a lot of parts that will break. Imagine SPL had 400k$ per server costs when they were caught off guard. Aggy said that in the last Townhall, insane. If the tide rises too fast, a lot of people will have to step up very fast and if we fail, we can still count on @solominer to keep the masses in check for some time.
From what I understand, the infrastructure can handle it. As for how that applies at the second layer, I guess the depends upon the way that is structured.
