Will there be a re-election or?
Opposition already wants them but not sure if necessary. #finance & #transportation ministers are idiots anyways.
Can they manage to rule as a minority do you think then?
They can, majority/minority relate hasn't changed
Regular elections are scheduled for September 2025. Scholz wants snap elections in March, while CDU/CSU, main opposition party, wants them now.
Scholz seems to bad for Germany. Hope on a new election asap so they can form a stabile government.
Who tends to lose most on new election? SPD, Greens?
Judging by this year's regional elections, Greens would lose more. SPD managed to hold its ground in Brandenburg.
Ah okay. But would SPD be able to hold onto power if re-election happens?
Can say we in South of Sweden arent super happy with Germny right now.
SPD will remain in power only as part of new grand coalition with CDU/CSU. It all depends whether Greens further collapse, making them insufficient for CDU/CSU as possible new coalition partner.
Okay will be interesting to follow this 👏
Current polling (rough estimate) - CDU/CSU (centre right) 31 pct, AfD (populist right) 17 pct, SPD (centre left, Scholz) 14 pct, Greens (ruling) 10 pct, BDW (populist left) 7 pct; FDP (liberals) and Die Linke (left) below 5 pct tresshold
Its weird that Scholz, third largest party, is leading the country.
This year was very rough on incumbents in major Western countries (Tories in UK, Democrats in USA, Renaissance in France). Scholz just follows his pattern, with his party losing half of votes since 2021 election.
Yes its a overall trend and for me showcase that people are feed up with some type of politics.
