NFT Game Splinterlands All The Ways To Earn Crypto
Splinterlands has become the number one game on the Hive blockchain and with it it's become a game that's getting closer and closer to levels of Axie. To me however Splinterlands offers a lot more to it and one of the biggest perks is it's on a feeless blockchain. That means no more paying hefty fees to battle, open packs etc.
In this article I'm going to go over all of the ways you can currently earn NFTs and crypto in this NFT game and rumors of what is to come.
NFT Cards
These NFT cards a beautiful and have come a long way since Alpha and Beta days. The artwork pretty awesome and the stats on cards are equality top notch.
This is what most people are after and for a number of reasons. Cards are what can be combined to level up and make them stronger. This lets you do better in battle and rank higher in seasons which turns into more rewards!

DEC (Dark Energy Crystals)
DEC (Dark Energy Crystals) are the main currency of the game. They are used to buy packs, special packs, renting other cards, buying potions, entering events and so much more. These things are valuable!

- Season end rewards (15 days per season)

SPS (SplinterShards) Governance Token
SPS or SplinterShards are one of the more recent additions to the game. This is the governance token and allows for many things such as voting(coming soon) special offers, promotions, bonuses and events. It's a good idea to start stocking these up now and staking them to earn even more SPS rewards.

- 365 day air drop (currently on day 40 at the time of writing)
- Staking SPS (currently 138% APR)
- Winning in events
Used For
At the moment there's not much use case for SPS however this will greatly grow over the next few months. Currently it is used for the following
- Entry into some events (having an amount staked grants you entry)
- Staking rewards
Coming Soon
- New packs will be coming soon called Chaos packs. These will be able to be bought most likely with credits $ value and DEC as they have been in the past. Other packs will be another one to replace DICE that was sold out but there are no known details of them so far.
- The ability to earn SPS from various other ways such as guild brawls, winning battles, loot chests and land expansion along with others. Primarily though they will be earned from Staking, Ranked battles and LP incentives land comes close behind that and all others are 2.5 million pools per month.
I have to say with all the new additions still to come to the game including land which is always wildly popular among other games that there is still tremendous growth to be had and getting in now would still be an early adopter.
You can get started yourself in Splinterlands with a simple $10 buy of the spell book. I would recommend picking up credits via paypal as well and getting ready for the next packs to drop. Also picking up some potions would also be a good idea as legendary and gold foils can sell for huge amounts. Getting a single gold legendary could net you thousands of dollars in worth for your NFT card!

I wish I'd been putting more effort into collect SPT. I knew Splinterlands would be a hit, though it's only now occurring to me the breadth of it, but seeing SPT jump like it did surprised the hell out of me.
I'm just trying to figure out the best way to earn for me. The one thing that I'm convinced of is that the game reached critical mass and nothing will stop another 500,000 joining before end of year. So I wonder how I can profit from that? I hope I figure it out soon lol. I know it won't be from me playing because I'm terrible
