Polygon Explodes In Popularity On Airdrop Rummors
We all love a good airdrop right? Our most recent right here on hive have seen the likes of explosive growth and value. Early this year Leo token airdroped the CUB DeFi token for CubFinance which shot the price of LEO to over $1. This was before everything exploded in value in terms of defi early in the year.
We also had another massive airdrop on Hive via the play to earn game Splinterlands in the form of their governance token called SPS or Splintershard. This quickly boosted the price of the DEC token on Hives blockchain and pumped the entire value of the game to astounding highs we still see today. I honestly see this game beating out axie in 2022 and if not being a leader in the play to earn space all next year. Huge value and potential growth right there.
Polygon Airdrops
The first airdrop I know about for sure will be happening on the Polygon network for those how have CUB token within kingdoms and farms on CubFinance so far the amount should be 0.15 polycub for every cub staked and this will be happening over a 60 day window when it starts and dropping each day. I love this new airdrop approach as it offsets those quick pumps and then huge dump. Instead people hold on to it more for the value of the airdrop and this just seems to swell the value. Of course there will always be a sell off after the airdrop but these longer airdrops seem to do very well and even new people coming in have the chance of getting some of the drop as well which is great!
The other such news of a Polygon airdrop is that of a rumor. Nothing has yet been confirmed but we are seeing a HUGE increase if transaction volume happening on Metamask and Polygon swap protocol. This is the result of rumor's that metamask could possibly be gearing up to launch their own token and a possible airdrop to those who are using the swap feature.
Again this is ONLY RUMOR and not confirmed. However it does kind of make sense that metamask would start to launch something like this being how large of a platform it has become and it's newly added swap feature.
