RE: Putin Exposes The Silent Expansion of "The Empire of The World" and Threatens to Fight Back

Sadly it does always come down to natural resources and resources in general. Ukraine has a huge amount of Oil, gas, grains(food) just by the pure acreage of it the really critical one. Rare earth metals and guess where they are located? Pretty much every location Russia just took over. South and eastern Ukraine is loaded with these minerals and was used to help offset the vast amounts that China has.

Question though Would you rather the Russian government or Chinese government to instead spread their influence all over the world and live under that compared to an American one? It's legit one or the other and like picking the lesser of two evils or way of life you want to live.

I chose sovereignty. We don't have to live under any empire.

If only it was that simple. I'd be right there with ya. Sadly other empires will continue to try to extend their power. No government has ever tried to lessen it's power over people only increase it over time.

On the other hand, empires tend to stay dead after they die, and they shrink drastically.

Remember the Mongols of Ghengis Khan's time? All that's left is Inner Mongolia, and we don't hear much from there.

How about the more recent ones such as Austria-Hungary and the Ottoman Empire? Only stubs are left of each.

Not an empire, but the vast domination of the Vikings faded into Scandinavian niceness. Oddly enough, Russia began as a Viking outpost.

Rome? I think most of us know what happened there.

The British Empire-- an acknowledged empire-- has been managing its decline for many decades, and it's doing that well enough. The American Empire-- one in fact if not by official declaration-- may not have the privilege of managing its own decline (especially after USD falls, which it will).
