Each week (normally on a Sunday) I do a recap of what's new happening on the hive blockchain. This ranges from updates to applications if they are meaningful and big to new game releases or major game updates. If there's not a ton to go over I also include my own goals into the mix of things as a way to hold myself accountable but also to show others what is possible with consistent time, investment, building connections and so forth.
What's New On Hive
Just yesterday I went over some big details about how $HIVE is stacking up to some other gaming type blockchains. That article can be found on InLeo.io here [Web 3 gaming ecosystem and growth) (https://inleo.io/@bitcoinflood/web-3-gaming-ecosystems-and-growth-splinterlands-and-others) It highlighted that Hive has actully fallen in the gaming space while others like Ronin have had blockbuster games like Pixels that has simply taken off created massive wealth to that blockchain. It shows us what a single successful game on a blockchain is capable of doing.
What actully shocked me when I was pulling this data was seeing just how successful and active the game Terracore actully was and growing.
Besides that update wise there hasn't been anything too noteworthy to get hyped up about as of late. The biggest updates have mainly be the release of LeoDex.io and the introduction of new tokens to it like DEC and SPS. What's cool about it is the ability to take Hive or LEO and convert it into Layer 1 tokens or convert layer 1 tokens into Hive or LEO rather easily.
Goals
$HIVE
Goal: 250,000 Current: 108,985
Comparing from last week that means we added only 336 Hive this week which is down. It's mainly coming down to rewards on authored posts which can swing wildly for me and for others. Some days I make $10 on a post while others I can make roughly $25 and some times even less! It really just depends on a number of factors including the price of hive and how many people are active on any given day to use up the reward pool.
That still however puts us at 48 hive powered up per day which again is a decline from that 62 a day last week however it's good progress towards our first of many goals of 100 hive per day.
HBD Goal
Goal 182.500 Current: 4,207.76
From last week we added exactly 50 HBD to the pool lol wild how that turned out. So that's a little lower again compared to last week but still very great. At this rate however it would legit take me forever to reach my goal so once I complete some of my other goals first and if the price of hive and other assets starts to go up again we can start building up the HBD again. The main reason I have the goal I have is because at a 20% APR it would mean 100 HBD generated per day purely passively which is actully a huge milestone. That would generate roughly 3,000 HBD per day which if placed into savings as well would generate another 1.64 HBD per day. Do that for a full year of just adding in the APR interest and we would be looking at 119.72 HBD per day so you can really start to see how things stack rapidly at that point. These lower numbers it's really hard to see the compounding nature but I promise you it's there!
$LEO
Goal: 150,000+ Current: 137,789
From last week we added another 515 LEO total to the pool which is getting us close to our goal. That adds up to a total of just a little over 73 LEO per day which as current prices of $0.07 - $0.10 depending on where you swapped it if you wanted to would mean roughly $7 in value per day.
So you can start to see how all of these things on Hive start to add up over time. Trust me I've been doing this for nearly 8 years now to get to this point and it's still not all that impressive lol. Sure I could have done more and made some better choices in selling some assets when things were high but those are things that will always kick you in the butt later so you can't dwell on them.
If we roughly break down the daily in terms of tokens and dollar value we get this.
HIVE - 48 x$0.32 - $15.36
LEO - 73 x $0.08 - $5.84
HBD - 7.14x$1 - $7.14
A total daily from these places would be $28.34 in value so for sure nothing to write home about but still it's extra income for a hobby I do very much so enjoy doing.
It also shows you why you need to be building as many income streams as possible. For example I earn from Splinterlands and a few other games and communities but they are normally so minor at the moment that they don't get included much into this mix. There's also funds which are earned from Liquidity pools here on hive as well but I've found those legit impossible to really track which I feel is a major disappointment in terms of the liquidity pools and DeFi and general. It always feels like a guessing game instead of the system simply telling you this is how many tokens you earned!
Overall though happy with the success so far and things are moving a long nicely.

You're right, there's nothing as exciting of late, even from splinterlands as well. However, we keep building despite it all. It's still disappointing that the rest of the games on hive have not lived up to standards, despite raking in a lot of money in 2021 from investors
Yeah, even Steemit had outperformed Hive price by 50% the past 12 months. Hive is definitely in. Low. That said I think it’s got a future and this is on sale currently! But it is bummer seeing centralized trash like Steem outperforming by so much.
I agree with you my friend, there have been many projects with potential on Hive but to date the only game project that in structure, gameplay has been and is clearly superior to all others is Splinterlands and the fact that it is a game born 6 years ago is not a positive sign but Hive is still one of the blockchain projects with the most potential and it is also the most underestimated and like you I continue to have only growth goals on Hive hoping that in the future it can have the success and consideration it deserves
