Mein erster Hive Power up Day
Ich bin ja noch nicht so lange hier dabei, gerade mal 3 Monate. Und da dachte ich, ich mach dieses mal auch beim HPUD mit. Ich hatte ja schon in letzter Zeit immer wieder aufgepowert, aber ich habe ein paar Hive reserviert gehabt für heute.
Bin ja noch ein kleiner Fisch hier, und ich hoffe, ich werde nicht von den großen Fischen geschluckt. 😉 Aber die sind ja glaub ich gar nicht so gefährlich. Und schließlich hat ja jeder mal klein angefangen.
Was mich etwas wundert ist diese HIVE-Statistik. Da sind wohl einige Benutzer nicht mehr aktiv. Warum? Keine Ahnung, dazu bin ich noch zu neu hier.
Aber mir macht HIVE Spaß und wie schon der Kaiser Franz gesagt hat: Schau mer mal.
My first HIVE power up day
I haven't been here that long, just 3 months. And then I thought, I'll take part in the HPUD this time too. I've been powering up a bit lately, but I had a few hives reserved for today.
I'm still a small fish here, and I hope I don't get swallowed up by the big fish. 😉 But I don’t think they’re that dangerous. And after all, everyone started small.
What surprises me a bit is these HIVE statistics. Some users are probably no longer active. Why? I have no idea, I'm too new here for that.
But I enjoy it here and as the emperor (Beckenbauer) said: Schau mer mal.

Die Leute sind weniger aktiv weil wahrscheinlich der hive Kurs so niedrig ist.
Dafür fällt man als neuling eher auf. 😉

Regarding HIVE statistics, don't bother yourself too much with it. Yes, the truth is that the gap between the number of created accounts and the number of active users is huge. The reasons for that are various.
When we talk about old members/accounts, some remained on the old blockchain (Steemit) and never became active here; the others lost interest in continuing, while some others simply weren't persistent and/or dedicated enough.
When we talk about newer members/accounts, some are still investigating what and how to do it. As Hive doesn't serve all its possibilities, options, and how-to(s) on a silver plate, and especially not some tips and tricks, for some, it feels too complicated even to start, not to mention digging deeper to find answers, solutions, or even just the main rules.
There are also members who arrived here solely attracted by one or more (play-2-earn) games run on the blockchain (like Splinterlands, dCrops, Rising Star, or similar). Lots of those members use the account solely for playing the game(s), and they never publish, while the others are seasonal players, so their activity on the blockchain would depend on their gaming strategy and happenings in and around each game (like different competitions, airdrops, other types of rewards and similar).*
Some of those accounts, primarily created for gaming, are even simple bots.
Last but not least, in both groups (old & newer members) there are also a lot of those accounts that are actually aliases (second, third, fourth,...) accounts of existing members, created for specific purposes (like witness dedicated accounts, community accounts, game accounts, project accounts, or just another account for covering a specific topic separately or else).
Unfortunately, there are also hundreds of thousands of accounts created solely for some SCAM, SPAM, and/or fishing attempts (like when one or more persons open hundreds of accounts in an attempt to squeeze out from the reward pool as much as possible, usually combined with upvoting each other in some sort of circle jerk club and most often by copying & pasting the content already published elsewhere or even plagiarized. An example of that was newly created accounts (over 100 of them) on the same day when you joined Hive (February 3rd, 2024). In other words, and if we are not mistaken, except yours, all the other accounts were created for this or the other way of SPAM attempt. - You may check those others who joined on the same date as you did through the list in the folowing post.)
But, as you would be able to see, those who wanted to jump in these types of waters were very quickly detected, and their posts were downvoted while the others were left "sleeping" or on standby for who knows what and when.
So, to cut to the chase, there is no simple answer or explanation for the HIVE statistics. But even if there is, we don't think it would significantly help members in terms of their growth, attracting more viewers and visitors and, accordingly, more upvotes.
Therefore, we believe the connection and the communication you'll be able to create with other true and active members - real people (through your posts, comments, replies, and to others given upvotes) are the most valuable around here.

I like it here, but I think, for example, why are there 5 or 6 apps to swap HIVE/HBD? That is confusing and needs a lot of resources (computing, programming, ...)
Keep it simple, simple for the user!
That was the basic why so many people quickly adopted to smartphones.
That was, why Apple had so much success.
Well, many things are not common or even logical around here.
Then, keep in mind that Hive is open source, and anyone capable of building on it can do it. But here then comes competition between developers with different ideas, approaches, and solutions. (If mixed with ego, might be crazy and wild.) 😎
And last but certainly not least, there is also the aspect of earning. 😉

Uns freut es sehr, dass du den Weg zum Hpud-wettbewerb gefunden hast. Und genau für User wie dich ist er gedacht. Grade in der Anfangszeit ist es öfters noch umständlich und manches versteht man noch nicht. Daher freuen wir uns umso mehr, dass du es geschafft hast mitzumachen.
Ja, die Statistiken sind zwar aktuelle, doch spielen da alle Accounts eine Rolle, auch die von denen User, die schon Länge nicht mehr dabei sind, so viel ich weiß. Das mit dem Onboarding klappt grade nicht wirklich gut, aber wenn du Vorschläge hast, kannst du dich ja gerne mal dem Montag Meetup im Discord von @kvoinna anschließen. Dort werden auch Themen für Newbies besprochen und man kann in privaten Chats gehen, um Dinge zu erklären.
Du kannst aber auch jederzeit auf der Chain fragen, hier gibt viele hilfsbereite User.
So langsam lichtet sich der Nebel.
