Stablecoin offers security and Tether's USDT has prove its worth maintaining it's ground especially now eyes are on stablecoins.
Tether's USDT takes its place as no.3 cryptocurrency following Bitcoin and ethereum, and no.1 stablecoin with 72 billion marketcap with USDC and BNB following from behind.
The purpose of stablecoins being built is to less risky than volatile crypto and cash saved as a stablecoin maintains a $1 mark.
USDT has been able to give that assurance by maintaining it's peg.
Just recently, USDT got pegged to Mexican pesos MXNT for more security purpose and this shows trust in the digital currency.
As the trust in Tether's USDT increases it's only right to increase it's reach and expanding to Mexican market was a good strategic move to gain more popularity.
Polygon network is not new especially to we in leofinance community and hive blockchain as PolyCUB opened our eyes to the network.
We can provide liquidity for HBD and Hive on Polygon network as pHBD and pHive which is every increasing its liquidity on the network.
It's a nice move by tether to expand into polygon because of it's high level of trust in DeFi space, so there'd definitely be an increase in USDT in coming days.
The launch of USDT on polygon network is such a smart move to its increasing popularity and use.

There are gonna be some interesting moves in the stablecoin markets post-UST.
A lot more transparency. A lot more scrutiny. Also, a lot more expansion as people like Tether try to take market dominance

I agree, UST turnout was the icing on the cake.
There's a spotlight now but on the otherhand, it's good in the sense that people should be very wary of where they put their money.
It also puts new companies or those thinking if just coming up with any project without direction or course in the bull's eye.
This nonsense has to stop.
Scrutiny is for sure.
The good ones would stand the test that follows through.
