RE: Hive Advantage: True Account Ownership

I don't disagree with anything you say here and I think I already know the answer, but isn't there a bit of a concern that Hive could end up being the MySpace to Musks Facebook? I think they are totally different animals, but no matter how many times MySpace says we were doing that long before them, where are they now and where is Facebook. That would be one of my biggest fears.

There is no doubt the money and the power lies with Musk. He is going to be one of the kings, in my opinion, of Web 2.0.

However, it is still Web 2.0. The more instances like FTX happen, the more people will realize the vulnerability of centralization.

Another think to keep in mind, Hive is decentralized in its development. In the long run, decentralization always outpaces centralization in innovation. A company simply cannot keep up with all the development when groups of individuals are building.

That makes sense. The Web 2.0 thing will likely be key. Unless he starts monetizing content, but why would he give up the revenue at that point.
